Ephemera is a conceptual project started from the word “Speed”. Bogidar Mascareñas, a graphic designer based in Barcelona has created a series of four posters ephemeral and destruction process. The project is structured in two parts: a long construction time and rapid destruction. Thus, the result shows the process of constant change, the transition and finally reaching the ephemeral (lasting one day).
Ephemera I: ”What has been built up will collapse” is the first poster of the ephemera collection. In this case the message was made out of jelly, a casting process and the experimentation of the characteristics of the material. Thus, the process starts with the creation of the molds that later on were filled with the jelly and solidified at low temperatures. Finally, the goal of the poster arrived once was exposed: Due to the temperature (20º) the material melt and the poster collapsed.
